All the hot food on the buffet was tepid at best, except for the clam chowder, that was piping hot and very good! The desserts look real pretty, but most taste blah. I asked the server and she showed me how to use my fork, of course my fork was totally bent out of shape for any further use.
It would be nice if they had crab crackers, they don't - they only have these cheap plastic things to use and that may be okay if they bothered to pre-crack the crab lags/claws for you, but they don't. I also tried the fried shrimp, fried chicken, green beans, corn on the cob, clam chowder and some peel and eat shrimp and one crab leg with a claw. I had a slice of prime rib it was very good and I was able to cut it with a table knife as I didn't see any steak knives anywhere and our server didn't offer one, so I assumed they don't have steak knives. They have several choices, my friend had the sushi and said it was okay, she also tried a pork chop - it was dry/over-cooked with some unidentified thin fruit glaze on it (apricot or peach), oven baked chicken - it was dry too.
Thought I'd take in the new remodeled buffet at Viejas Casino.
